3RD SYMPOSIUM IN COMPARATIVE BIOLOGY

It is with great pleasure that we present the Third Symposium in Comparative Biology, carried out by the Pos Graduate Program in Comparative Biology, based at the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo. This activity has been conducted since 2016, with the aim of being a facilitator of international exchanges, helping to improve communication in English.
Traditionally, lectures are given by advisors of the Program, post-docs and students who have done internships outside Brazil. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year's Symposium will be fully online. Despite the limited human contact, this virtual format allowed researchers based in other countries to be able to offer lectures in their fields of activity, enriching the event.
In addition to lectures by external researchers, students participating in internships abroad and postdoctoral students, the Symposium features a virtual video session. The videos, developed by the pos graduate students of the Program, aim to present the lines of research developed to a wider audience, with an accessible language aimed at scientific dissemination. The videos are available on the Comparative Biology Channel on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjEMfwTpQt2KrAvF66VWFog).
We wish you all a good meeting, holping the material produced be of interest not only to the members of the Program but also to a wider audience outside the academy.
